2025 First Half Recap

This week I went for a 10K run. Mid-run I started thinking about how the first half of 2025 went. Recaps are helpful in evaluating if life is going in the direction I want.

January

Explored Big Sur and Carmel by the Sea. Interviewed with multiple companies. Started regularly visiting farmers markets. Ran multiple 10Ks. Spent time with friends from the master's program before everyone scattered for their careers.

February

Began my role as AI Product Manager at Apple. Reconnected with an old friend in growth marketing. Visited Lick Observatory. Baked cupcakes. Spotted gray whales and sea lions near Monterey Bay. Read a thriller called "Mom" — then ordered six more books to consume higher-quality content.

March

Attended a Mexican birthday celebration. Stargazed at Foothill College Observatory. Hiked Mission Peak for the third time. Completed seven consecutive 10K runs across different locations. Built my first website using vibe coding. Read "Breathe," which transformed how I approach workout breathing.

April

Built and published a Chrome extension job-finding tool. Solo hiked Sequoia National Park. Hosted my visiting sister. Improved at Topgolf. Prepared for Half Dome by using the stairmaster and swimming. Completed three GenAI courses.

May

Celebrated my birthday. Visited Monterey Bay Aquarium with friends visiting from India. Solo hiked to Yosemite on my birthday. Practiced product design questions with a close friend.

June

Swam three times a week. Third Mission Peak hike. Tried surfing. Read multiple books on health, productivity, and literature.

July

Set up the television. Completed the Half Dome hike — eighteen hours of walking total. Enrolled in an MIT economics course.

Writing this out informally — brain dump style. The first half was full. Looking forward to the second.
